Gift 60 Food Baskets for Quran Students this Ramadan 1445H

Campaign Objective

To help sustain Quran students in Kaduna by sponsoring food packages. This campaign aims at Sponsoring 60 Qur'an Students who are in the process of memorising the Quran with food baskets to sustain their day to day lives in the month of Ramadan 1445, while they journey to become the custodians of the Book of Allah.

Story

Al MA’ALI ACADEMY was established in 2018 as an institution for students to attend to memorise the Quran and the books of Sunnah. The academy believes that empowering orphans and the children from economically less fortunate family with Quranic knowledge would help them raise their spiritual ranks in the akhirah, as well providing them with the skills and knowledge of teaching the Quran in turn to the society in the future.

Achievements

By the Grace of Allah, in 5 years, the academy currently hosted 252 students, 136 males and 116 females. Through our continuous efforts and Allah’s assistance, together with donations and waqaf from supporters worldwide, the academy managed to achieve:

1. Graduated students who memorized the Qur’an with many Riwayat and Qiraat
2. Sponsored school fees for 60 orphans for a complete academic year
3. Distributed 500 copies of the Qur’an to the remote village of Danja in Katsina state
4. Organized Quran workshops for the students of the academy and students from other schools
5. Organized academic training for students in which scholars from different communities participated.
6. Sponsored Ramadan Food basket for 40 Qur’an students

7. Distributed 600 copies of Qur’an to the village of Unguwar Ajiya

8. Expansion  of  academic activities to Include hosting boarding Students From different Countries.

9. Distributing  500 Copies of Qur'an to the Village  of Gadani in Kaduna State Nigeria.

The Challenges

As many of our students come from far away villages, it is usually a challenge for them to find food to eat, even prior to Ramadan. This is due to the economic challenges of the country and the rising cost of living especially during festive seasons. Many of these students work as manual laborers and providing house help services, or any other halal and legal side occupations.

The Assistance

Considering all factors, we are determined to distribute a food Basket for 60 Qur'an Students this Ramadan who could not afford to feed themselves in order to sustain them while they continue with their tasks of learning and memorising the Quran in this Holy Month of Ramadan.

The food basket will include the following items
1/ Rice 10 KG
2/ Sugar 1 KG
3/ Dates 1KG 
4/ Oil 1.4ltr
5/ Maggi 2 Packs
6/ Milk  1 Tin,
7/ Lipton 2 packs,
8/ Pasta(Spaghetti) 10 Packs,
The whole package is estimated at RM200per student.

Funds Needed

In order to support our Ramadan food baskets project, we need to raise a total of RM12,000. Remember that feeding a fasting person is not like other forms of Sadaqat Rasulullah s.a.w once said: The Messenger of Allah said: “Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person’s), without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person” Jami` at-Tirmidhi, 807
