Sponsor Needy Quran Students

Campaign Objective

We are campaigning for 3 Quran students who are raised by a single mother with little means. The mother’s dream is to see her kids memorize the Quran and study Islamic studies to understand better and practice their religion.

About Sahlah Academy

Sahlah Academy is an international Islamic Institute specialising in Quran, Arabic and Islamic studies. We have been fortunate enough to educate dozens of students out of whom graduates of the holy Quran (Hufaz). Our objective is to provide our students with a good quality education designed for global contexts. Our mission is to build strong and responsible Muslims capable of dealing with and balancing their Islamic values vis a vis non-Islamic beliefs and values. Therefore, Sahlah Academy has enriched its coursework by including courses such as The Islamic Etiquettes, The Biography of the Prophet (PBH), The Life of the Companions, the 40 hadith of An-Nawawi, the Madinah Arabic, Tajweed and Fiqh.

The Problem

Umm Haq (Nor Askin) is a single mother of 8 children, 4 of whom are adopted kids. She used to be a well of mother supporting the entire family’s cost of living from food to education until she lost her road side business, and everything turned upside down. To keep the family going, her eldest son pulled out of University to help the mother to cover the family expenses as well as the school fee. Ever since, she has been looking for kind sponsors to help supplement and cover the kids' school fees so that they continue learning and growing within the Islamic environment, and continue their Islamic studies without interruption.

The Solution

We at Sahlah Academy are dedicated to helping these students in need by reaching out to kind donors like yourself to help sponsor their tuition fees for 1 year. By doing that, you are alleviating a burden on a sister in islam and also  making her dream as a  mother come true. 

The prophet SWA said in a hadith reported by Ja’bir (RA) “The best of people are those who are most beneficial to other people.” Sahih Ja’mi’.

He also said in a hadith reported by Ibn Umar (RA) “The most beloved deed to Allah is to make a Muslim happy, or to remove one of his troubles, or to forgive his debt, or to feed his hunger. That I walk with a brother regarding a need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this mosque in Medina for a month.” Source: al-Muʻjam al-Awsaṭ 6026. Graded authentic by Al-Abani.

Fund Needed

The proceeds of this campaign will help pay 3 students’ tuition fees for a period of 1 year. During this period, the students are expected to demonstrate a good progress report and memorize at least 1Juzu. Besides the memorisation program, the students will be taught various other subjects including Hadith, Seerah, Fiqh and Arabic. The monthly fee is RM600/Month
