Distribute Qur’an to Students in Arua District, Uganda

Build your hereafter  by making waqf of the Qur’an to students in Arua District, Uganda. The proceed will be used to purchase 350 copies of the Qur’an to be distributed to each student.

Story

In Uganda approximately 41% of the population lives in stark poverty and with the Muslim population at a meager 14.7%, the efforts of the du’at (callers to Islam) has been a truly challenging one. The unfavorable circumstances have, however not deterred the du’aat from conducting classes revolving around the basics of Islam; particularly teaching the community the book of Allah. 

Traditionally students have learned the verses of the Qur’an directly from the teachers, without physical copies of the Qur’an in their possession.  While it is manageable to learn the Qur’an with the current arrangements, having a physical copy of the Qur’an would greatly help to accelerate their learning and the dissemination of the knowledge of the book of ALLAH.

About Us

Nas’rul Mu’mineen Charity Association formed in 1987 with the aim of grooming the Muslim youth and modeling their lives with an Islamic activities touch in Arua District, Uganda. Alhamdulillah over the years we had a remarkable impact on the people and communities we served. 

Through Allah’s assistance and your kind gestures we are able to accomplish the following:

1- Da’awah program to spread Islam by organizing Islamic seminars,
teaching the recitation of the Holdy Qur’an among the young generation.

2- Iftar program during the Holy month of Ramadhan by providing food (Iftar) to the needy.

3- Construction of shelter for the orphans and providing them with food items.

4- Buying bicycles for Imams as a means of transport to ease their movements from
where they reside to the mosque.

5- Qur’ban program: slaughtering of cows during qurban days and distribute the meat to the needy.

6- Renovating a mosque in Obone-Lobule Koboko District.

Fund Needed

Nas’rul Mu’mineen Charity Association is aiming to raise RM7,000 in order to provide a copy of the Qur’an for each students in the following institutions:
1. Ragem technical institute 
2. Arua school of advance leadership 
3. Teachers training college Arua 
4. Arua school of nursery teachers 
5. Muni University Muslim students

It is our hope that this will help to further boost the literacy of the words of ALLAH among the students.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The messenger of Allah (SAW) said,”When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: sadaqah jariyah (ceaseless charity); knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him” (Muslim).
