Waqf Al-Quran to Muslims in the Village of Kiambio, Kenya

Campaign Objective

Build your hereafter today by sponsoring a copy of the Quran to students in kenya . The proceed will be used to purchase 200 copies of the Qur’an to be distributed to the students and the families of each household.

Story

Kenya is a christian majority country and a less developed country. Muslims are a minority making only 10.4% of the total Population , or approximately 5.2 Million out of 50 Million. We have students from poor families who have no means even to afford a copy of the Holy Qur’an.

The Problem

Kiambio is a rural town in the outskirt of Nairobi, Kenya  which house may low income and poor families. Beside the abject poverty endured by a growing number of the population, due to the lack of social welfare infrastructure across the country, many of these children either become beggars or street peddlers who are in turn exploited by the very criminal networks perpetrating organized crime in the state. The Problem is the children and their families cannot afford copies of the Holy Qur’aan while at home and the academy , since the parent are poor.

The Solution

In an effort to provide a nurturing and empowering environment for these forgotten children to positively apply themselves the AL-IHSAN Islamic Centre an  INTEGRATED ACADEMY was established in 2018, for memorization of Qur’an, Qira’at, Riwayaat, books of Sunnah and Secular education.

We believe that in empowering   children of the less fortunate and those with low income families with the guidance of the Qur’an this would help them rise in ranks in the akhirah. Also, would provide them with a clear sense of purpose towards becoming productive members of society and positive role models.

Fund Needed

We are aiming to raise RM 3,000 in order to provide a copy of the Qur’an for each household at a minimum. It is our hope that this will help to further boost the literacy of the words of ALLAH among whole families in the community.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: sadaqah jariyah (ceaseless charity); knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him” (Muslim).

The proceeds of this campaign will be used to sponsor 200 Qurans to be distributed to families in the village of Kiambio, Kenya.
