Story

An-Nur Quran Center is an Islamic institute dedicated to Tahfiz and Islamic studies for both boys and girls. Founded in 2015 the An-Nur Quran Center is home to 147 students, 92 of whom are males and 55 are females. The centre has a dual system consisting of boarding (12) and non-boarding students (135).

Since its foundation, it has produced 13 Hafiz, 7 boys and 6 girls. The centre has 5 teachers, 2 full-time and stay-back teachers for monitoring purposes.

The Problem

An-Nur Quran Center suffers from proper accommodation and learning materials (copies of the Quran and other Islamic books). Due to the high tahfiz demand in the area, the center can no longer accommodate the newly arriving students and therefore, turned the students down. If this phenomenon persists, not only will the newly arriving students be impacted, but even the existing ones will possibly be asked to stay home until a better accommodation and learning environment is obtained.

Fund Needed

For An-Nur Quran Center to continue serving the Umah and educating Muslims about the Quran and the religion, we need your support and help them get a better learning environment and the necessary materials. 

An-Nur Quran Center is aiming to raise RM 10,800 in order to pay 12 months rental for a 2-story building and provide a copy of the Qur’an & Islamic books for students in need. It is our hope that this will help to further boost the literacy of the words of ALLAH among the students.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: sadaqah jariyah (ceaseless charity); knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him” (Muslim).
