40 Ramadan Food Baskets donated Students in Kaduna State, Nigeria received

Dear Quraany Community,

Alhamdulilah through the collective efforts of Quraany and our partnership with Al Ma'ali Academy, we have raised a total of RM12,700 to provide essential food packages for these dedicated Quran students.

Al Ma'ali Academy was established in 2018 with the aim of helping students memorize the Quran and learn the books of Sunnah. Their mission includes empowering orphans and children from economically disadvantaged families with Quranic knowledge, enabling them to raise their spiritual ranks in the hereafter and equipping them to become future teachers of the Quran.

With the grace of Allah, the academy has made significant progress over the past three years. They have graduated students who have memorized the Quran with various Riwayat, sponsored school fees for sixty orphans for an entire academic year, distributed five hundred copies of the Quran to remote villages, organized Quran workshops, and provided academic training for students through the participation of scholars from different communities.

However, many of our students face challenges in obtaining regular meals, even outside of Ramadan. Economic difficulties and the high cost of living, particularly during festive seasons, make it challenging for them to afford food. These students often work as manual laborers or provide household help services to sustain themselves.

To address this pressing issue, we have embarked on a mission to distribute food baskets to 40 students during Ramadan. These food packages will sustain them throughout the holy month, ensuring they have nourishment while they continue their sacred task of learning and memorizing the Quran.

Each food basket  contained essential items such as rice, sugar, dates, oil, Maggi seasoning, milk, Lipton tea, and pasta. The estimated cost for each student's food basket is RM275.

To support this initiative and provide Ramadan food baskets to these dedicated students, we need to raise a total of RM11,000. Remember, the reward for feeding a fasting person is immense, as Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast will receive the same reward as the fasting person, without any reduction in the fasting person's reward." (Jami` at-Tirmidhi, 807)
