Quraany and Attin Press sign MOU pledging to support Quran Projects in Malaysia and Nigeria
In a heartwarming event on April 2021 witnessed by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporate (MDEC) chairman Datuk Wira Dr Rais Hussin Mohamed Ariff and Youth and Sport Minister Senator Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Kamal, Quraany's CEO, Ahmad Hallalo, and Attin Press managing director, Sulaiman Ali, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support the needs of the community.
During the launch at Pusat Kreatif Kanak-kanak Tuanku Bainun, Ahmad shared a noble message encouraging people to donate, especially during the fasting month, and highlighted the significance of contributing to those in need, especially Al-Quran.
Quraany is a platform that aims to serve the needs of the community by using impactful solutions for each individual. Ahmad mentioned that a study conducted in 2019 on 48 African countries showed that more than 100 million people in Africa do not have access to a copy of the Quran, and many Muslims are unaware of this problem.
The Quraany team has launched two new campaigns to support the needs of the community. The first campaign, called Pertubuhan Jaringan Komuniti Umum (JANGKAU), aims to raise funds for a few community surau around Bandar Baru Bangi, with 389 damaged copies of the Quran. The damaged copies will be disposed of via shariah-compliant recycling technology.
The second campaign is to raise funds for Gabari Muslim villages located in Kaduna State in Nigeria, where An-Nadaa has established a school to empower the next generation through education. Traditionally, the students have been learning the Quran directly from the teachers, without holding physical copies of the Quran.
We urge everyone to support Quraany's noble initiatives, whether it be through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word about our work. As the Prophet (S) said, "The best of people are those who are most beneficial to people." [Al-Muḥassin, Sahih Al-Jaami’] Together, we can make a difference and help spread the message of Islam around the world.
